Meeting to defend Youth and Young Peoples’ Services
9th April 2011 – 1:00pm-3.30pm
Unite the Union
Woodberry
218 Green Lanes
London
N4 2HB
Unite the Union invites young activists to discuss cuts to Youth Service provision and young peoples’ services, how they affect you and what action we can take together.
As the cuts begin to bite across London, unity between young people and workers is needed more than ever.
Young people’s voices have been marginalised, and Unite wishes to work with young people in making our voices heard through coordinated action.
This is a meeting which will begin with feedback from the 26th March protest, and end in a concrete plan of unity and action against the cuts, particularly to Youth Service Provision and other areas which affect young people. A similar meeting in Suffolk took place recently, and has proved very useful and important. Some of the participants from that meeting will be attending the London meeting on 9th April.
