Just a quick post to inform you that we are organising two Engaging Critically seminars on the theme of ‘Politics and Youth Work’ in early February. These will continue the questions raised at our ‘Politics and Ethics’ event in Birmingham, but will embrace too the issues raised in the recent debate on the site about the politics of the Campaign itself. The first will take place in Central London, thanks to the GFTU, on Wednesday, February 5 and the second in Central Manchester, courtesy of the 42nd Street project. on Friday, February 7. Both seminars will be held in the afternoon from 1.30 – 4.30 p.m.

We are conscious that mention of politics in the same breath as youth work still disturbs many people. However we hope you will take this opportunity to explore the tensions and dilemmas in a questioning, yet supportive atmosphere. Full details in a flyer early next week.
