At YMCA George Williams College

YMCA George Williams College is offering a free training day on ‘Values in Youth Work’ for professionals and volunteers working with young people. The day will encourage you to think about the values that underpin youth work. This will include activities focusing on making tough choices, doing the ‘right’ thing and will provide you with practical activities that you can take away and use with young people, volunteers and other youth workers. Topics to be covered include:
Why values matter  Ethical dilemmas
Facilitating decision making  Taking responsibility

To book your place, please contact Owen at events@ymca.ac.uk
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, initially to those who have not attended a training day before. A maximum of 4 places may be booked by one organisation. Tea and coffee will be provided during the day but delegates will need to bring their own lunch.
The training day offers a taster of the programmes offered by the college and information and advice on applying for our courses will be provided for anyone who is interested in finding out more.
