At our last Steering Group meeting we agreed that August would be a quiet month on the web site. Thus I’m going to do a post on each of the weekends, bundling together a diversity of interesting links, but that’s about all. If I can pull myself together I’ll do a post this week on whether the rise of Jeremy Corbyn has any significance for either young people or youth work. Or perhaps I should wait till the end of the month. This said if anyone out there wants to say their piece it would be a pleasure to publish it. Quite a few leading lights in our Campaign are expressing on Facebook considerable optimism about a possible change in the character of the Labour Party. And, of course, we’ll keep an eye out for any dramatic events, which require our immediate attention.

Wherever you are up to, we hope you have had or are about to have a break from the daily grind. I’m off to do even more walking and cycling in a trance than usual. I’m told this is me being bang up to date with contemporary fads and fancies of a psychological kind. I’m evidently being mindful. I’ll let you know if this has changed my life in a few weeks. Cheers.
