RESPONDING CRITICALLY AND COLLECTIVELY TO LABOUR’S ‘ONLY YOUNG ONCE’ PROPOSALS

A few weeks ago Bernard Davies posted on our web site a warm, but questioning response to the appearance of the Labour Party’s report, ‘Only Young Once’.  It sought to catalyse debate. Bearing this in mind we determined to organise a moment, where together we could take the discussion further – the date to be Friday, December 6. However, neither time nor circumstance are frozen. Before we could take a breath a General Election has been called for December 12. For now, we need to say clearly we are going ahead with the event. Over the weekend the Steering Group will weigh up the implications for our debate of the General Election and thence will circulate a flyer posing what we see as the issues we face, together with more details about the practicalities. To put it mildly, it’s ramping up as an important moment. We hope to see you there.
